Ages: Middle and High School, 6th - 12th grades. Summer Session runs May-August 2025 (dates TBA) for Zoo Crew, Junior Zoo Keeper and Teen Leader programs. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s Teen Programs provide meaningful life experiences that inspire teens to take conservation action both on and off Zoo grounds through education, leadership, stewardship and environmental exploration. Admission to the program is through an application process. Online applications for Zoo Crew, Junior Zoo Keeper and Teen Leader will be open during this time. An application fee applies. Once you have completed your application fee transaction you will get an automatic generated email that contains the link to your application! All applications must be submitted by midnight on February 10, 2025.

Mark your calendars - EARLY BIRD pricing and an exclusive member's only summer camp registration period will be open February 3-9, 2025. Then, Early Bird registration continues for members and the general public, February 10-14, 2025. General registration begins February 15, if not sold out. Summer Camp programs will be available to children in preschool through 8th grade. Register your wild ones early as camps fill quickly. More information on camp program details coming soon!

Ages 1-4 with adult. Offered: Thursday, February 13 only. This special Valentine’s Day Holiday edition Stroller Safari includes a special animal demo, meeting birds around the Zoo, and creating a birdhouse to take home so that your backyard lovebirds can have somewhere to raise their family! Registration is required.

Ages Elementary and Middle School. Discover the heartwarming world of unusual animal friendships that come in all shapes, sizes, and species! Join us this Valentine's Day to see how "opposites attract" isn't just in movies and learn how some pals are paws-itively perfect for each other. Registration is required.

Ages 4-5 years. Get ready to hop like a wallaby, waddle like a penguin, and slither like a snake! From the swift sprints of leopards to the playful leaps of otters, together we will learn about animal's unique movements through the wildest of wiggles. Registration is required.

Ages 1-4 with adult. Offered: Monday, March 17 only. This special Holiday edition Stroller Safari includes a special demo with an animal from our reptile area, meet & greets with other “green” animals, and a fun green themed sensory activity! Registration is required.

Ages: Middle School & High School. From the very tops of the alpine summits to the base of forested foothills, wildlife and plants alike have perfected their adaptations to surviving some of the most challenging mountain habitats. Join us as we explore mountainous species from around the world and their ability to thrive in some of the harshest environments on our planet. Registration is required.

Ages Elementary and Middle School. Spring is the season of new life – and baby animals! From wobbly fawns taking first steps to fluffy chicks learning to fly, every animal starts life with incredible instincts. Join us as we discover the amazing ways these little ones grow up in the wild. Registration is required.

Age: Middle School & High School. As the spring season starts to arrive so does the return of flowering plants and pollinator partners. Join us as we learn about the dynamic relationship between pollinators and the natural world. We’ll study some resident species here at the zoo while also focusing on ways we can help pollinating species right in our own backyards. Registration is required.

Age: 3rd-6th grade. Come celebrate Star Wars Day at the zoo! Together we’ll learn about the one true force on our planet, the force of nature! We’ll study both the light and dark sides of our natural world and even try our hands at making our own lightsabers out of natural materials! Registration is required.

Single day camps are offered only on June 30, July 1, 2, 3. Exclusive EARLY BIRD registration for members only, Feb. 3-14, then for everyone Feb. 10-14. Ages 12-18. CMZoo’s Youth Leadership Action Board invites you to the 7th Annual Youth Conservation Leadership Conference (YCLC), right here on the mountainside. This conference is hosted by your teenage peers as a common ground conference to work towards worldwide conservation education efforts. Registration is required. Early Bird Registration opens February 1, 2025 at 8 a.m.

Ages 21+. Join us for a magical evening on the mountain, exclusively reserved for those age 21 and up. Local musicians will set the mood throughout the Zoo! Tickets to Tails, Tunes & Tastes include unlimited small plates and two drink tickets. Cash bars also available. (No one under age 21 will be permitted, including no children or infants.) Advanced tickets are required and will be on sale closer to the event.

All ages. Nightly, 5 - Dec. 23, Dec. 25 - Jan. 1, 2026. Celebrate nights of mountainside magic during Electric Safari with over 85 light sculptures on over 50 acres!
